Treatment of Lymphoma
Chemotherapy combined with radiation therapy is the most popular way to cure lymphoma. In its general sense, it involves different drugs to fight off cancer cells. However, it can also affect and destroy a healthy cell that is why patients under chemotherapy experience extreme weakness. Chemotherapy is helpful especially in reducing tumor size before surgery. It can also destroy cancer cells or mass after radiation or surgery. This type of chemotherapy that aims to cure lymphoma is called adjuvant chemotherapy.
